Picture this: seven years of award-winning content

Wall_New.jpg

The new picture gallery adorning the walls of our Brick Lane studio is a celebration of our first seven years of producing award-winning content, and in particular the stunning photography we’ve produced along the way with the help of our hand-picked, global network of snappers and illustrators.

As we continue to grow and innovate our brand newsroom, these images – that range from sporting heroes like Frank Lampard and Alex Scott, to internationally renowned artists and beloved bikes – recall just a few of our past content campaigns.

With clients varying from British heritage brands like Royal Mail and Coutts to online NYC disrupters like Brathwait watches, our picture gallery captures the breadth and diversity of our growing client base.

1. Fabian Kauter

Our founding client was Coutts & Co: one of the oldest and most prestigious private banks in the world. This shot provides a glimpse into the sleek print magazine our team launched for them in 2012.

2. ‘Crosswalk Style’

Snapped: NYC sidewalk style at its finest. Our 2018 collaboration with the NYC Street Photography Collective for luxury watchmaker Brathwait saw us produce some of our most striking, diverse and disruptive photography to date.

3. Alex Scott MBE

We interviewed former Arsenal defender and high-profile football broadcaster Alex Scott MBE as part of our regular ‘Leading Questions’ series for long-standing client, Barclays. Covering everything from the strength of the women’s game, to her transition from player to pundit, the whole affair was #goals.

4. Royal Mail 1950s motorcycle

In 2016, we were commissioned by Royal Mail to help them celebrate 500 years of postal history. Working closely with The Postal Museum, we produced an interactive, online gallery to digitally archive hundreds of fascinating artefacts – like this old-school postal motorbike – key to the brand’s rich heritage and identity.

5. Keirin racers

Will Goodan’s photography offers a fresh look into the world of Japanese Keirin racing, complete with vibrant colours, beautiful hand-built bikes and unprecedented behind-the-scenes access. We featured a series of his images when we profiled him for our special ‘Keirin Manchester’ magazine programme, published on behalf of Rollapaluza events in 2014.

6. Lucy Choi and Bianca Miller-Cole

“I’s important to take risks in life”. Shoe designer Lucy Choi offered up words of wisdom at one of Barclays’ many Women’s Initiative Network (WiN) events, covered by our team of writers and hosted at her boutique in central London.

7. This is Parkinson’s

This striking shot by Norwegian video journalist, Anders M. Leines, was taken for one of the first stories published in Parkinson’s Life magazine – owned by regular Content Works client, the European Parkinson’s Disease Association (EPDA). This image showcases one of the many ways our team tells empowering and inspirational stories about the Parkinson’s community across Europe.

8. Sir Bradley Wiggins

We commissioned illustrator Peter Strain to reimagine this classic sports portrait of the cycling superstar Sir Bradley Wiggins, for the cover of the Revolution track cycling programme back in 2015.

9. Remote delivery

A nationwide trawl for the best places to shoot Royal Mail’s couriers in action – from bustling towns and cities to sleepy villages and rolling hills – resulted in an iconic photo library that continues to power their visual storytelling across multiple channels, from mainstream press to social media.

10. Frank Lampard OBE

To the joy of the footie fans at Speak (well, some of them at least), we sat down and got frank with former Chelsea midfielder and Derby County Manager Frank Lampard as part of our ‘Leading Questions’ series for Barclays. He even divulged the secret of the perfect penalty.
