Speak and Barclays shortlisted for two Corporate Content Awards

Speak’s ongoing content collaboration with Barclays has been shortlisted for two 2021 Corporate Content Awards, recognising both our long-term coordinated newsroom operation and our help with shaping the bank’s response to Covid-19.


Speak Media has been shortlisted for two 2021 Corporate Content Awards in recognition of our ongoing newsroom operation for Barclays’ external channels.

The project has been shortlisted for ‘Best corporate content during Covid-19’ and ‘Best long-term use of content’ – reflecting both the success of our ‘always on’ newsroom for the bank’s Group channels, and the way we have helped Barclays communicate its response to the coronavirus crisis.

Speak was brought in to transform Barclays’ Group website, home.barclays, in 2016 and has since worked collaboratively with the bank’s communications teams on a bold new editorial approach, employing best-in-class practices to articulate the bank’s corporate narrative in the most human, emotive way possible.

Since 2016, Barclays Group channels have seen extraordinary growth in audience reach and engagement, including increases of 254% in session time, 174% in return visits and 208% in interactions.
