The art of remembrance

Royal Mail's latest Special Stamps collection – featuring historic memorials and artefacts commemorating the First World War – can be viewed on the dedicated Special Stamps website that was created by Speak Media.

The latest collection – which is the fourth set of a five-year commemorative programme that marks the events of the war – focuses on 1917, and includes the stunning 'Shattered Poppy' image by photographer John Ross.
