Communicate: Fostering great corporate content habits
Speak Media’s head of planning and production, Paul Williams, explores the habits that have been essential for comms leaders through the pandemic.
The challenges of the past year have called upon comms leaders to think hard about how to keep teams connected – and maintain an output of great corporate content.
“Their concerns are myriad: how to get team leadership right; what tools can be used to help; ways of maintaining creativity; concerns over losing the sense of ‘togetherness’ when working remotely, and much more,” Paul writes in an article published by Communicate.
To see how teams approached these challenges, Paul spoke to content leaders across Speak Media’s network about the habits that have supported them through lockdown. From starting conversations and formalising processes, to encouraging colleagues to be open to new experiences – the advice helps to highlight why habits and routines don’t have to be “barriers to innovation and inspiration”.
“When approached thoughtfully and creatively,” says Paul, “habits that underpin content creation can help prompt new ideas, enable us to stay purposeful – and keep teams connected.”
