Just Marketing: Podcasting that has purpose will win hearts in 2022

Speak Media’s senior content producer Saskia Mair shares why authenticity, approachability and a sense of community are crucial for brands who want to create great audio content.


With over two million podcasts currently out there, it’s no easy feat to attract audiences when creating audio content. 

In an article for Just Marketing, Saskia shares why brands need to take a stand on issues and “tackle some genuinely compelling topics – from social justice to social impact, impact investing and everything in between”.

Looking at examples including the Speak Media-produced Parkinson’s Life podcast, Saskia says series should help listeners to build communities and spark new conversations. 

“By being approachable, creating a sense of community and getting personal,” adds Saskia, “you stand a good chance of connecting with your audience – and making a positive impact at the same time.”
