Barclays stories by the sea
Our Barclays content team had a trip to the seaside this week – but as you might guess from the weather we’ve been having, there was no bathing involved. On this occasion we were gathering stories for the Barclays Group website (home.barclays), rather than pebbles.

Managing editor Laura (S), writer Geoff and photographer Laura (R) spent the day at Bournemouth’s Eagle Lab – one of many local ‘innovation’ hubs set up by the bank around the UK.
These amazing centres – run by super-dedicated staff with support from specialist mentors – combine community education and co-working with a range of facilities for budding inventors and innovators, including state-of-the-art 3D printing and laser cutting.

As Geoff noted following the trip, which will culminate in a multimedia story series on home.barclays: “There are some very inspiring people both in terms of staff and people visiting the Eagle Lab to develop their ideas – and some really impressive work going on, which was great to experience at first-hand.”
Keep an eye on our stories from Eagle Labs and other Barclays initiatives over at the home.barclays news page.
