Frank Lampard interview for Barclays

In our latest feature for Barclays we interviewed former Chelsea midfielder and newly appointed Derby County Manager Frank Lampard OBE as part of our regular ‘Leading Questions’ series.

The feature – which was published to time with England’s crucial World Cup fixture against Colombia – consisted of a revealing Q&A and a two-minute video.

The Premier League legend reflected on his own leadership style, the best managers that he has worked with and the secret to a perfect penalty.

Discussing the turbulent nature of football, Lampard told us: “In good times, being a leader is easy. It’s in difficult times that you need great leaders – you need individuals to take responsibility and lift the team.”
